Sam Wrigley Ltd, manufacturer of SAMSON HARDWARE, has joined the membership organisation Buy New Zealand Campaign Ltd so that consumers can be better informed about the origin of its products. All of the products illustrated on this website are made at our factory in Auckland, New Zealand, except for those shown on the Designer Alumium page. By labelling our packaging on goods displayed in hardware stores with the well known Buy New Zealand made logo (shown above), it will be easier for consumers who prefer locally made goods to make their choice. According to research quoted on the campaign's website, 87% of New Zealanders are familiar with the logo and 75% of them prefer New Zealand made goods.

Separately, the government has launched a Buy Kiwi Made initiative to support locally manufactured goods. As part of this The Ministry of Economic Development will undertake a major publicity campaign commencing in August 2007. Its slogan is New Zealand: We've got it made (shown below). We will be participating in the initiative through advertising in a special supplement in the Sunday Star Times in August.
